My sentiments exactly Manix,

Try organising something yourselves, you'd be surprised at the amount of people who will appear at the mention of an M&G! (failing that, try a magicians hat)

Just takes someone to take the bull by the horns and organise. We would likely attend if one was planned.

There has been M&G in Waterford. One only recently if I remember correctly.....although my brain is a bit frazzled after last nights one in south Kildare. Keep an eye out in the forums and also on similar sites.....failing that curveycouple drop us a mail....we'd live to meet ya......hummna hummana...!!

I'm guessing pick a date and venue then stick it up on the forum doesn't have to be a fancy affair or loads of extravagance. Just a group will to meet....

Do you need to book a private room in a venue?

Nope don't have to. M&G are I think typically social events.....a way of putting profile names to faces and meeting new people, anything outside this is a bonus

Exactly, it's up to you how big you want it. (No pun intended).

All you need to do is at least find a place (pub/bar), a busy one with some music is usually good.

Then choose a date that suits.

Just put it up in the forum and people will get in touch.

Hope that sheds some light into it...

You don't need to hire a DJ, but that's up to you. All you need is a place with some background music, most pubs/bars provide that anyway.

Curious to these m&g

If its in a bar come hotel how do you know who is there for the meet. Do you wear a name tag or have a secret hand shake.

Normally most meet greets are held in private function rooms in hotels so kept away from civie ppl
