What is the most ALTRUISTIC thing you have done either on FAb or real life

We both consider ourselves kind caring giving people. We try to look at the greater good if that makes sense. For instance we have discussed meeting new couples, new women and new men possibly in a park with benches daytime where we can have a 10 minute chat with each face to face so they get a social verification to start them on their journey.

WHAT IS THE MOST ALTRUISTIC THING YOU HAVE DONE ON FAB OR REAL LIFE?

Please keep it positive and STICK TO THE QUESTION ASKED. TY xxx

Oh and without being in any way condescending rather to help people who are unaware if wat the word means ...

ALTRUISM refers to an unselfish concern for the well-being of others. It is the practice of prioritising the needs or interests of others, often at a personal cost, and performing acts of kindness or charity without expecting any reward or personal gain.

not far from

The smallest act of kindness can ripple farther than we know. A word spoken, a hand extended in silence, the quiet assurance that someone is there — these can be profoundly altered by the self-seeking nature of others.

True kindness should come naturally without the need for gratification.

My attitude is if you can not do good for someone, do not do bad.

Was in the supermarket.

Watched the person in-front put their few things on the belt. Then they counted out coins on the belt.

Cashier scanned the items from the belt, but the belt kept moving and the coins they had disappeared into the working of the belt.

They looked very confused and concerned. The cashier looked and me, I was trying not to laugh, cashier looked them asked about payment, they looked at the belt.

I looked at the cashier and offered to pay. They thanked me and took their items.

Cashier scanned my items with out any incident.

Don't know how we both kept a straight face

I was at the till and the old lady in front of me didn't have enough money to pay for her shopping so I helped return some of her items to the shelf, she didn't thank me though !

Twice at 2 different socials I saved 2 females from 2 different men that did not understand the lifestyle. Both men got banned from both socials. I’ve also help a male wheelchair using get to and from the toilet because of heavy doors. Another fabber I’d met for a social was local and her wheel on car was soft and I drove to her to blow her wheel up, same lady broke down one day and i couldn’t get away from work so I asked a friend to bring her a coffee and a chocolate while she was waiting for a recovery. To this day me and her at best friends and chat on video call every day.

I give a stranger a compliment.

Especially if it's an older person, or someone who looks like they're having a tough day.

A smile and a few kind words cost me nothing, but could mean all the difference to someone else.

I have 'adopted' a kid who is in no way related to me. Granted she's now nearly 30 and she's only been mine for the last few years, we bonded during covid. She's a gorgeous kid in every way. She's always been on her own and making her own way through this world. A heartbreaking history.

We've grown into friends and mammy/daughter and I have no intention of that ever changing. I love the kid and am a better person because I know her.

I'd say for me it has to be signing up to patient care volunteering at the hospice. 15 years ago I started and the impact just being their for people whether it's a nice walk around the grounds, a good chat and natter over a cup of tea, helping them through an off day and taking worries away and filling them with happiness or nice game of cards or chess.

Not only do you develop a friendship with those you support and care for but also a friendship with fellow volunteers and giving up my weekends to Brighten up their day is just the best feeling ever.

Any act of kindness no matter the size makes a big difference to their lives. I been asked why I do it and what I get from it. For me it is brining the joy back when the light seems dim and taking the worry away leaving only positive vibes. Still go every weekend and wouldn't never stop.

I was a carer for different family members or friends from the age of 12 until I was 49 which involved a lot of personal sacrifice and the loss of my teenage years.

I didn't know at the time that it had a name.

I set up a walking group on here which has helped a number of fabbers meet other like-minded people in a safe, discreet and enjoyable environment.

I must get back to organising some summer strolls.
