& around

Apply for your learners permit by doing the bike theory test

Book your 2 day IBT course (monitory) in the highest class for your age. Over 24 go for your full A licence

Buy the right gear, not mandatory, but essential

Get a Ce 22-06 standard helmet, not one that looks cool.

Buy a bike in your budget and to your style. Classic naked, Touring, cafe racer.and away you go

Get extra lessons after IBT.

Advanced lessons really do make a difference.

Other than that just buy a bike. After a few months you will probably want to upgrade or change as you will have a better idea of what you want.

Buy a track bike and stay clear of the roads. Youll have much more fun and be 100x safer

And whatever bike you get spend spend on a top of the range helmet and appropriate protective gear as in leathers etc,I'm speaking from experience after nearly losing a brother who was knocked off his bike after a collision with a bus,the doctor showed him his gear after the collision and told him that what saved his life.....spend spend on high end protective equipment,it's your life you are investing in.

Buy the motorcycle gear not for the ride, but for the slide

Germany

If you've got the cash and don't want leathers, good bike jeans, like those from hood-jeans will set you right. Or decent touring gear, can be nice and casual.

Go for a good helmet(check reviews and stars) that suits you. Will feel a little tight at first. Sometimes trying on in ireland snd buying abroad, in Germany for example, will save you a lot of money

Gloves, your choice. Just get decent protection.

Boots.... hmmm. Some go for the style of bike they ride. I rode cruisers for the first 15 years. Wore sports bike boots for the protection. TCX s race, with torsion control system.

Good eyewear if you drive with the visor up.

Remember, if someone says don't bother with the gear, they'll probably have an accident and blame the bike, not their attitude. 100kg+ versus 5.9million billion billion tonnes, you lose every time. Know a guy who essentially shredded his elbow on gravel.....

Be patient(don't try to break land speed records), don't be a dick and enjoy the ride.
