The sock debate during play has been discussed multiple times here but what are your feelings outside the bedroom? I ask as I spotted a guy in work with slip-on shoes and no socks (I work in the 80s).

And then there are guys who pull socks up their calves when wearing shorts.

What's your thoughts on the summer fashion?

Brogues with shorts?? 🧐

Socks worn with shorts should be ankle socks or folded down to the ankle.

Every summer this is inflicted on us

I'd actually prefer the socks with shorts though - who wants to be looking at the crúibín 🙈

Ankle socks in shorts . Footwear will be stink if you've bear feet in them with this heat or anytime really. Ankle socks in runner or bear feet in sliders or flip flops on holiday 😎

Ankle socks would be the preferred when wearing shorts and a t- shirt. No socks at all if I'm wearing jesus creepers.

That being said...the older I get,the less I care about how far up my socks come past my ankles or what colour they are for that matter, certainly if im only dressing casually. I'm comfortable and that's all that matters. Sometimes I pull long socks up to my knees when wearing shorts but that only cause I can pull it off

I dont like my feet. They're one of those thins id rather keep out of sight.

Weather like this: enclosed sandals and shorts. If I’m out in the yard, work boots and shorts, depending on the job.

Socks go with the boots and trainers, and sometimes with the sandals if there’s a bit of friction.

As for the long socks and shorts, that's someone trying to relive a misspent gaa youth

I've come to love socks. Avocado too but that's a whole other one-eighty.

I was wearing shorts and ankle socks in work today myself so it would be a bit hypocritical to criticise others who do the same 😁

The older I get the less I have an opinion on what other people are happy wearing

Long socks under jeans /trousers, short socks as in trainer socks with shorts or not depending on the footwear and the chances of chafing the ankles.
