"Applegreen is best followed by Costa for me "

You'd need a big kitchen to fit either of them on the counter though, and you'd be persecuted by lads asking to use the jacks.

Dublin

Butlers….. hands down. I know they’re quite Dublin centric with only small ones in Cork/Galway, very good one in Limerick. I trained as a barista and had my own coffee business…. So Ive a bit of knowledge and I would never pass a Butlers. Plus there’s chocolate……

For coffee beans id go for McCabes coffee. They are a wicklow based company. Their organic coffee is amazing. For a machine Sage are pretty decent. Ive has a Sage machine for 6 years with zero issue. Best purchase i ever made

Velo is quite nice. Tried out for their warehouse once.

Even tesco french style in a french press is lovely. But once you put it through an espresso machine oh dayum. Flavour town. But each to their own.

Some like Costa, starbucks. Some have functioning tastebuds

Im very lucky were I work theres an excellent coffee place so I actually dont have a machine at home.... Im spoilt 🤣

Only been to once in the us... really hung over and when they asked my name I just couldnt compute. Their coffee isnt to my taste but its proberably a good meeting point until yo suss if the other person is a loon or not 🤣

Asside from that...anywhere that serves Illy (you can also get it in supervalu) is going to be nice

Have a De'Longhi Caffe Corso for 8yrs bean to cup. I've replaced water pump and brew unit over that time but it's starting to die now, so time to replace.

Looking at De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Next as the replacement as it allows 3 people profiles for 13 different coffees and that's the number of coffee drinkers in my house now.

Waiting for Prime Day soon but it can be bought for around €480 from Amazon Germany I see.

Beans wise I'm a fan of Lavazza Crema e Aroma, Starbucks Sumatra and Cafe Verona.

Couldn't be arsed with Sage and similar as I'm a fan of just push one button and get the coffee you want, without the faffing and mess of grinding, tamping and cleanup of those and similar. Also they take up too much space and the few people I know who have them still haven't mastered them.

Simplicity rules with a fully automatic machine.

Hopefully that's all of some use as my thumb is sore now

Dublin Louth

I am very fussy with my coff. I did a one day barista course in Dublin and bought myself a Sage machine a few years ago. The best thing I ever got. Fresh Aroisa coffee beans are amazing. So much nicer than Costa, Starbucks and most coffee shops to tbh.

.....

Badger & Dodo ☕️

An excellent range of coffee, sourced from around the world, roasted in County Cork and with an iconic name.

What more could you ask for in a hot-brewed beverage.

🫘☕️❤️
