Mid-life crisis

I'm turning 42 in a few weeks and so far other than an urge to bleach the hair blonde, and maybe getting more open-minded as I am getting older, I haven't really had any dramatic midlife crisis urges (eg. Getting myself a convertible like so many middle-aged men!)

So for a bit of fun, has anyone felt they have had a midlife crisis and done something really out of character as part of it?!

.....

Definitely went through a period of uncertainty in my mid to late 40's. Thought about doing a few crazy things but didn’t and just doubled down at work stuff and raising my family and a relative level of sanity prevailed.

Looking back it was more the dawning of a realisation that there will always be twists and turns in life's journey which have to be dealt with, and that I was just at a crossroads rather than experiencing an actual crisis.

We just have to learn how to adjust to the inevitable changes that occur along life's pathway.

Was contemplating buying a 750 Norton motorbike for a while but bought an Ifor Williams horsebox instead. Still have it and I got lots more fun from it, and the animals I carried in it, than I ever would have gotten from the bike.

Tbh..no , just kept being me , never felt like doing or getting anything that was out of character to me, time moves on for everyone ,always played sports, always loved music & always loved intimacy..& still love all 3 today ..the 3 " H's "..Healthy , Happy ,Horny....after those 3 everything else is just noise.😁

Never experienced it.

A friend bought a motorbike when he turned 40 and got rid a year later after putting less than 100 miles on it.

My boss at the time bought a Porsche Boxster and sold it 4 months later when he couldn't get his golf clubs in it.

I didn't have the disposable income to make any big changes or do anything different so it all passed me by

Got divorced, best decision of my adult life (along with deciding to say yes to that coffee with himself).

Middle age is a time to really look at yourself and ask if this is where and who you want to be, or are you just going through the motions....

I haven't but my dad had a minor one. Bought a camper van and a mini cooper. My mother soon sorted it though by giving him an earful. He kept the mini and got rid of the camper van. Ended up buying a Suzuki Swift sport years later 😂 regularly zooms up and down the village he lives in it.

Not a midlife crisis more of a epiphany, and stopped worrying about other peoples opinion of me or what I do/dont do. Lifes to short to worry about stuff you cant control

57 yrs young. Currently going thru divorce. Found myself a GF and we joined here together.

I have started getting tattoos, currently at 3 and 3 more planned. Toying with the idea of a motorbike or camper van.

Definitely a mid life crisis or is it a midlife revamp 🤷‍♂️🤪

My midlife crisis was to try something new, so saw this georgeous Trans lady on another site. Paid a visit to her and it was a great experience. She knew how to tick all the boxes. Very feminine, big ass and tits. That was back in 2014, and still visiting various trans ladies.

Had a major crisis in life and hit rock bottom when I turned 40 just before COVID happened. Wasn't really age related, all things I cared about just went to shit all at once.

After a lot of introspection I was faced with a decision to either play russian roulette on my own or to leave everything behind and finally start being my authentic self.

The decision wasn't clear cut at all, but I made the right choice in the end.

I came out as trans to my closest friends that year and got a tattoo to celebrate the end of my old life and the start of my new life

My midlife crisis is resulting in me paying a fella to draw pictures on my body. In other words getting tattoos done. So far I’ve spent €3100 and another €900 to go to get the back finished. Turning 50 later this year so hopefully that will put an end to the tattoos before I’m broke. Back alone is costing €2250

If an ambidextrous person claps there hands in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

👏
