Far far away

I really love a newspaper. But actually never have the time to read it. My parents still read a paper every day.

On the rare occasion, l get SBP or Indo. But l always loved the Examiner...

Always loved The Sunday Times and all the different sections

Some you could keep for during the week

Sunday independent to me was full of ads for supermarkets and opinions rather than actual news unlike the Daily Independent

I actually have subscriptions to 8 different newspapers on my phone that I buy when they are cheap so the yearly cost is less than €100 for them all but I miss the physical edition of The Sunday Times the most

not far from

Its been a while since i bought paper. They were a ritual growing up. We'd a neighbour up the road who would come to do a "swap over" mid week.

Used to drive me nuts because he would mix all the pages up and you just new he had read every bit and thrown it back together.

I remember the art of having to fold the paper when finished with it. You know I'm referring to the large pages now don't you. Never went to waste always had a second use too.

I only really buy a paper if I see an article advertised that would interest me.

Used to buy the papers everyday. But just can't be bothered anymore as it's more and more adverts. Get my news off Internet these days.

Evening Herald & The Irish Times were daily features in our house along with the Farmers Journal.

Sunday Business Post, Sunday Times & Indo all replaced with online content.

Lack of quality journalism today with certain ‘broadsheets’ akin to tabloid reporting and dare I say it gutter, sensationalist journalism.

We always had the Sunday Press and Sunday Independent. But then the Sunday Press folded (and this was in the pre-internet era too, so can't blame that!) and the Sindo got worse and worse, a weird mix of lifestyle and mild titillation dressed up as a quality broadsheet...

So nowadays it's the Irish Times and Independent on Saturday, and that pretty much covers things for the week. Occasionally I buy the Financial Times to mix things up...

Never read newspapers. I could never understand the fascination with them. I like to distance myself from any unnecessary negativity. Living in my own little bubble do to speak
