My Brown sauce is Flat !!!

I have few things in my life that gives me pleasure that equals or exceeds, a soft poached egg, hard butter, toast and a good dollup of chef brown sauce, however of late my brown sauce has lacked the consistency,

A once looked forward favourite no longer tickles my fancy , I have an almost hatred of other brands, (childhood trauma most likely) Please help , should I a just cherish the fond memeroies or try to move on with a new brand, I tried barrys tea once so I think it proves I maybe im open to new ideas, it tasted shite but i did it. ?

We need to know what brand you're currently using to know whether you're just wrong, or if there's potential for improvement.

I always bought Chef brown sauce because it's the correct one. Then one day in Lidl I noticed the price difference so I bought Batts instead.

I went back a couple of days later and bought the correct one.

I think thats Brown Sauce shameing 🤔🤔 you need to take a long hard look at youreslf, only thing brown sauce doent go on is burgers !!!

Suppose you'll try say it doent go well on turnip or cornbeef sandwiches next !! Were does the shaming stop !!

2 things that I could never take. Guinness and salmon. Told this to someone and she told me out taste buds can change in our 40s and that i should try tasting them again. So far I’ve drank a full pint of Guinness but can’t bring myself to buy salmon. So OP maybe your taste buds have changed

There should be no alternatives when it cone to sauce.

1) Chef tomato every time from a glass bottle - none of that watery heinz rubbish.

2) Chef Brown sauce is nice, but YR will win out - does anyone remember the square bottles?

3) if your going for mustard, it has to be Colemans (but used sparingly because it can ruin a good sandwich or more importantly a breakfast poached egg)

No stranger to the Mustard me, cant beat it on a bit of ham , sometimes chips and the occassional roastie . Most rescently found it on a smash burger in hillbillys !! Cant beat the zing !!

Mustard on burger and chips, now we're talking business.. Great call! With a massive dash of vinegar for me I think this issue may be resolved, a zinging poached egg will start any morning with a tasty kick
