Finn Valley

My location is showing UK, and when I change it back to Ireland it reverts back to the UK. I reside in Donegal. So any help from you wise and knowledgable people would be great. Thanks.

Depends... are you the part of Donegal that the specials tried to bring into N.Ireland?

OR

The freestate part thst everyone forgets about, that they didn't want?

Perhaps the thought of building a wall around old Donegal wasn't a bad idea after all in the 90s.

On a serious note, it maybe down your signal if you are on a mobile device when it bounces off towers in both jurisdictions.

Try changing your location to somewhere in Connaught to see if the same issue arises. If it does, then it's a signal issue, if it doesn't, well looks like they're looking to bring you into the fold

I'm in NI but no matter where I am, even if visiting England or Scotland, mine doesn't change from Ireland (unless I choose to change it)

But we show in london updates each time we post only cause we changed it once when travelling

Ah right that explains it. We did this too. Someone in the UK had a go at us in a message recently for coming up in London on their who's near. He didn't read the profile obviously 🙄

I'm not even sure if that works right. Tried it out the weekend (for thr craic) while on the train to Dublin from the West. In Port, it was showing up people in the the Newbridge area...

it only worked properly once - that I am sure of, but sadly, I got off at Athlone and have not been able to contact the lady who looked at me in carriage D on the 10.30 from Dublin.

Ah well, at least it's nice and sunny this evening 😎

Can I ask. Which updates page profiles experiencing this are using.

There is a local updates page but can be changed to preference updates page.

The later has updates from users in Ireland and the UK.

Could explain getting messages from the UK of vice versa
