"The swipe left/right, smash/avoid etc etc etc threads in all their varieties. It’s just guys waiting for the odd woman or couple to comment and passing on each other in the meantime. Has a conversation ever even been sparked by one? And I’m sure we all know my feelings on the threads of single guy profiles wanting to talk about their partners or share pics of them. Although tbf they bring a lot of the avoid people into one place. Tbh the forum is pitiful these days compared to what it used to be " Would have to agree. I've had lots of conversations start from these, many of which will be picked up again later when meeting at a social/event. And yes, the odd one does lead to a more immediate real life meet. I reckon the best approach is to treat it as a bit of fun, be a little cheeky and if you strike up a conversation, just be yourself and don't be a dick. 😉 | |||

I find the left/right and smash/drink/avoid in it various guises or rate my profile very annoying. I don't see the point in them other than people desperate for attention.
