Some are just rubbish, many of which I’ve started myself. Think we’ve run out of ideas when it comes to new threads. Not the same amount of people posting to threads lately either

I never know what to say on the smash type threads

Dont have a problem in the other types of thread where you have to go left or right and even keeping the sequence if its a man ahead of me but smashing ...not for me

The swipe left/right, smash/avoid etc etc etc threads in all their varieties. It’s just guys waiting for the odd woman or couple to comment and passing on each other in the meantime. Has a conversation ever even been sparked by one?

And I’m sure we all know my feelings on the threads of single guy profiles wanting to talk about their partners or share pics of them. Although tbf they bring a lot of the avoid people into one place.

Tbh the forum is pitiful these days compared to what it used to be

Would have to agree. Not sure if the swipe left, right, smash etc threads have helped anyone start a conversation with anyone. They certainly haven’t helped me in any way.

I've never understood why people say pass or no or whatever. What's the point? I'm guessing it's purely to see other people's responses for them??

I completely abhor are the ones where guys (almost always guys in my experience) want to chat and/or swap photos of their unsuspecting unconsenting wife/girlfriend/partner)hot neighbour.

It's great to see the mods do a better job now of actively removing them.

There are many other topics I've no interest in at all - swipe left/right, smash or pass, etc, and I find the crude body part preference threads banal.

"The swipe left/right, smash/avoid etc... Has a conversation ever even been sparked by one?

Yes actually. Plenty. I've had lots of conversations start from these, many of which will be picked up again later when meeting at a social/event. And yes, the odd one does lead to a more immediate real life meet. I reckon the best approach is to treat it as a bit of fun, be a little cheeky and if you strike up a conversation, just be yourself and don't be a dick. 😉

The saccherine, sucky uppy ones with the loud clicking noise coming through tend to annoy me a little.

If you are such close friends why not use DM's or perhaps even "get a room"....

I don't get involved much in the forums but I do read them regularly. I find the left/right and smash/drink/avoid in it various guises or rate my profile very annoying. I don't see the point in them other than people desperate for attention. I like the ones that can educate me or if someone is looking for some help.

Definitely repetitive with the smashing...there's only so many times you can smash the same person....

How about a nice auction Jaffa? It's been a while 🤔 🥵

Occasionally a thread catches my eye. It can be a good way to show an interest in someone. The positive comments on someone's profile kinda ones are nice. I might "smash" the occasional person if they aren't a twat 🤣🤣

I don't see the point of threads where people just copy and paste an answer they Googled or ginned up with ChatGPT.

The Caliso Bay and Brief Encounters et al threads are also negative craic.

Ditto for wife chat. wtf like

There's not much left of the forum now so since the great telegram migration.

But they don't have to all be about swinging - everyone here has an actual life.

There are only so many women's body parts people, well, men, can start a thread about. Thank god!

Start your own threads if you're not happy about the lack of sex talk.

There are 35 threads on each page and on a busy day I might open 3 or 4 here and a similar amount in the Lounge so that's around 10% on each forum.

I might comment on half of those so that means I completely ignore 95% of threads either because they are topics I know nothing about or have any interest in or because they are inane and repetitive.

I often ignore threads based on who posts them as well.

"The swipe left/right, smash/avoid etc etc etc threads in all their varieties. It’s just guys waiting for the odd woman or couple to comment and passing on each other in the meantime."

I usually swipe right for men with some platonic remark. I think more men should promote male solidarity.

"Has a conversation ever even been sparked by one?"

Yes, I've had conversations instigated by women.

"And I’m sure we all know my feelings on the threads of single guy profiles wanting to talk about their partners or share pics of them."

I find this practice despicable and abhorrent.
