Friends only photos

What is the logic of having no photos, not a single one as all are set to friends only? Then writing to people saying hi, this is me, would you like to chat....... but there's no photos to get an idea of any sort of physical attraction? Why people? Then getting annoyed and saying just tell me what photos you want to see? Who has time for that?

I'm not one to be easily irked (this may or may not be true..), but the no public pics thing does irk me.

If you can't be arsed adding photos then I certainly won't be arsed asking for them. Or replying at all to be honest.

Surely nobody here as body parts alone by which they would be instantly recognisable??

Because they want to keep their privacy and photos solely for people they are interested in.

But still show that they have made an effort to actually take and upload photos?

What approximate percentage of your messages are like that compared to genuine ones with pics?

I assume so, but you gave no detail of what happened between hi this is me and them getting annoyed asking what you wanted to see, so I really non comment on the general practice of having exclusively friends only pics 🤷‍♂️

There was no detail between hi, this is me and when I responded to say you've no photos for me to get a sense of what you look like and you've no profile details, then they get annoyed, and say, you tell me what you want to see and ask me anything you want to know.

This. No one is entitled to anything here and that includes a response to an unsolicited message. If their profile doesn’t contain what you’re looking for, don’t reply.

Exactly this. And I've given up replying just to point out what my bio says, given they couldn't be arsed reading it/ignored what it says.

Another thing to add is. Peeps with no photos , asking for photos in chat. Which is fine. But the unwritten rule is, you ask, you go first.

So if im chatting with someone and want to see more, I'll ask, and go first then.

In this case I ask to show pictures then decide if I want to continue chatting for not, simply enough really.

It is people's preference whether they like to show or not and I respect that. Some profiles have set to private and still chat if I am interested enough in the conversation it doesn't really bother me to much about the pictures sometimes if just in the mood for chat only.

If there's no pics at all or no bio then I just don't respond and mostly if they are all set to friends I tend to do the same unless they show a few first. What i really don't like is people who can't take no for an answer and just keep harassing, unfortunately the site is plentiful of this kind.

I’ve just deleted 200 messages in one fell swoop because most messages are as you describe. No profile photo one lines or just a hi!

Ignore is best - regardless of profile messages most guys don’t read them.

Having said that, I just had to search my profile for a particular pic and it took longer that it really should have…..

Plenty of guys keep a couple of friends only photos so they can temporarily make one public, slip past the 'only public photos' message filter and then they hide their photo again.

Those ones go on the bin along with the rest of the dross.

I can’t say much about friends only pics that you don’t know or hasn’t been said already but tbh messages sent to you or any lady on here it can be difficult for any guy messaging whether public pics or friends ones are available. I often read blank profiles will not be responded to and that’s fair enough but most ignore messages anyway I’d say from experience. Women and couples especially Irish fabbers tend to not reply to messages blank or not. UK fabbers in comparison are much more willing to reply to messages, don’t ask me why just my experience.

Is it the same idea - with only friends photos - as having blank profile with massive statement in it, that: 'messages without clear recent face photos will not be read and senders blocked?'

...just asking for a friend, who's not on Fab
