Follow Up or Fail: The success of a relationship depends on consistent follow-up. Keep in touch, reach out after meetings, and keep your network warm through consistent, personalized communication.

Be a "Connector" & Build a Community: Actively connect people within your network who can benefit from one another. By becoming a trusted node in a larger network, you become indispensable and expand your own impact.

I've not read this book but I can see similarities with the horticulture community, seed saving/sharing and sharing knowledge etc... Also I can see how your relating it to the fab community.. Interesting
