Been to Bratislava and it’s a great city for a couple of days break. Vienna is only an hour by train so handy for a day trip while enjoying the cheaper accom in Bratislava.

The Falkenstiner hotel in Bratislava is a nice place to stay, very central and there's a rooftop sauna and wellness area for chilling

I did Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest over a week. Was maybe 12 years or so ago so maybe a lot has changed. Bratislava is lovely, is/was cheap, but I would spend maximum 2 days there. It's small and you can see it all in that time. Vienna was much bigger and much more exoensive - if it'a a nice day, grab a boat to it and don't be a sap like Jaffa on the train 😙
