Good morning everyone...

Whaddya reckon - could such a simple thing as a walk or a hike with like minded people result in potential fun for some or all whilst en route ? Id like to think that it WILL. If you would like to take part please let me know and we can organize something. Nothing to strenuous or difficult. Drink lots of water to keep hydrated and I'm sure we will wait on anyone who has to relieve themselves, from the water of course. Looking at the Leinster/Wicklow/Kildare/Dublin region initially to get a feel for demand and hopefully go further.

Hope to hear from lots of you.

This has been done numerous times and there are a few active groups at the moment.

The biggest problem by far with any fab related hiking group is that too many join with the expectation of something happening while out hiking.

I've seen a few hiking groups fall apart after a couple of walks because people don't seem to get the hiking part.

Yeah, I hear you man. Unless I ask the question though I will never know. It has to be worth trying and let's see what happens.

I'd honestly love to join a group for hiking, with no expectations! I have a huge interest in hiking and gaining my fitness back, I'd love to join like minded people to head out with

Walking groups are a great way for people to get to know each other in a safe, relaxed and discreet setting with lots of opportunities to chat along the way and over coffee afterwards when plans can be made to meet in more intimate surroundings.

But "fun whilst on route" is unlikely to happen as most walks take place in a public setting so there is little likelihood of any "outdoor orgy" activity occurring.

Realistic expectations lead to less disappointment!

A very valid point and thanks for pointing it out, good shout all round. Plans can be made for fun afterwards.

Pity you can’t tag people here. I know at least two walking groups on fab. Usually the amount of men is much higher than ladies and couples. But I did few great hikes with one of the groups and they still have a warm place in my heart.

The SouthEast and Galway walking groups are indeed warm and welcoming, as I hope are the members of the SouthWest group.

Hi everyone

We’re the S/E walking group well not just ourselves we run it as a group with everyone involved, choosing walks dates that suit the majority.

We are open to newbies joining us but it is a walking group not a hiking group as many different fitness levels within the group, so if like gentle walks come along and there is always coffee afterwards

Also there is no outside orgies thanks badger as always in a public setting but it’s a great way to meet likeminded fabbers and all going well making the connection together after all that’s what we’re here for.

Also thanks _unflower there is always going to be so many men looking to join the group but we always try keep the numbers as even as possible on our events and with in our telegram group chat apologies guys and I’m sure you understand we can’t add you all.

Sunflower hopefully we see you again soon x

Ms Singlet we love you, always at our walking or coffee events xx

Our next outing is posted in the forums

Hi Emma more then welcome to join us anytime you just do as much or as little as you wish there’s always a rewarding coffee afterwards regardless 😂
