South County Dublin

I weighted myself yesterday 109.4 kg. Not sure what that is in old money.

Wonder will I put on weight or loss it over the Christmas period.

Attempting to run a 5k race on New Years day.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Eat and be merry KP.

Worry about the consequences after.

I'm hoping to go back to the gym in Jan after nearly a year not being able to go.

Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Within Touching Distance

Despite what you believe, the weight you'll gain over the next few weeks isn't all fat.

There's no damage in the next 10 days that you can't undo in a solid January training and eating well.

Loosen the belt, have another portion, 2 naps a day is fine, champagne for breakfast, relax.

If you don't get a bit fat, you didn't do Christmas

Dublin west

I saw a post today that sums it up for me.

You should worry less about the weight gain between Christmas and New year and worry more about the weight gain between New year and Christmas.

Life is short.

Live it and enjoy it.

You can pick it all up again in the new year

Do not stress at all man. I fought for 15 years where the scales where your life. It can very easily become an unhealthy obsession. Sounds corny but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But as long as your happy in yourself then who cares what anyone else thinks. As everyone else said in this thread. Over the Christmas period it isnt really weight. Its water weight etc. Go into January, get yourself 1000mg vitamin c time release tablets and for every 1000mg drink a litre of water. Once ye go over 1000mg it becomes a diuretic and flushes the water. Then if your training spend 6 weeks doing low intensity cardio. Keep your heart rate under 150bpm for at least 20 minutes at a time and ye only burn fat. If you go over that you go into a cardiovascular zone where your actually strengthening your heart only. Stress also is a massive factor in struggling to shift weight. People may have different opinions to what I'm saying because everyone's body is different but if I can help in any way I will. Best of luck my man and if you need any advice give me a message

do it gradually no point in putting strain on your body. Walking is a great way to lose it and it's all great for fresh air and the Head

I was getting pains in my left arm. I had high blood pressure.

I walked 8k yesterday and day before.

Both very enjoyable walks.

The tide was coming in and waves were high but people got in for a swim.

At least it is dry. Felt great being out in the fresh air clear the head

I did it myself last year before holidays! Changed my diet and walked! It helped so much!

Starting back again in Jan

If you are getting cramps like pain in your left arm, particularly on walking or exertion, that could be a sign of heart trouble. You should get it checked out

I went to dr before Christmas. I was getting pains in my arms Christmas eve and Christmas day, it was just stress. Going out for walks helped a lot. I got no pains then. Many thanks for your concern much appreciated
