Alone at Christmas

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to drop a wee message because this time of year can hit people in different ways. Christmas isn’t easy for everyone — it can bring up old memories, tough feelings, or that horrible sense of being on your own even when you’re surrounded by people.

So if you’re struggling a bit, please know you’re not on your own. I’m thinking of you all, honestly. This community means a lot to me, and if anyone is having a rough time mentally, my inbox is always open. No judgment, no pressure — just someone to listen if you need it.

And if things ever feel too heavy, the Samaritans are there 24/7:

📞 116 123

Look after yourselves, and look out for each other. ❤️

This Xmas day I will also be on my own. Unlike last Xmas day I will not be feeling sorry for myself. If anyone is fearful and feeling lonely please drop me a message. To those not alone, if you know someone alone please give them a phone call. A 3 minute phone call is all it takes to help someone to not feel lonely. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

What a lovely post.

I will be alone for the first time in over 20 years, as the kids(grown up) are staying with their mum.

I am really looking forward to it actually, after a very busy few weeks at work... Plan a chill day with radio on, a good book, WhatsApp calls to family and a nice roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, a walk if weather is good and a chilled evening in front of the telly with the fire on.. bliss

Been on my own for a good few years, I don't let it get to me. Kids living abroad ,so phone calls in morning, nice walk, golf club for dinner and a few beers then home.Watch a few movies and maybe a bottle of maybe and a cheeseboard.

The first few Xmas on my own were hard tbh. But I have got myself into a routine and now it doesn't bother me. For those that are feeling lonely maybe drop a DM to someone you know and get chatting.

This could sound harsh but some saying they are alone and kids grown up and away etc. Truly alone is no partner or no kids. Significant others not in ones life us being truly alone. No loved one or one to love you waking up with them on Christmas Day cuts deep on a day like this.

I had one of the best Xmas days thanks to people from the lifestyle. Video calls, voice notes and so on. It’s 04:49 now and just finished last voice note from a lady from the lifestyle I love to bits. Sadly people think it’s all about sex but I’ve had a wonderful day and sex wasn’t involved or talked about
