Hello All,

I have a question about hotel expenses sharing traditions/rules.

When two couples meet, everything is simple, cost shared 50/50.

But when meet couple and single man ?

Should it be 50/50 also ?

For us it depends if we are away and have a hotel booked for ourselves and end up with someone joining us unless there spending the night with us we wouldn't expect to have them contribute to the cost. So basically we think that whomever is using the room for sleeping etc picks up the bill

I’m guessing the single male wouldn’t be staying the night, only there for 2/3 hours or whatever and the couple enjoys the room for the whole night/morning/breakfast etc then they should pay in full and perhaps the single person would bring a small token like wine or chocolates.

I'd offer 50 / 50 since you're a couple but if it was two fb and not an actual couple then a 3 way split is my advice

Long time since I was regularly getting a hotel room just for the deed but I was paying in full myself... sure I didn't care, I was chuffed to be getting me hole 😆
