As nothing seems to be happening down here the last few years regarding socials (I know the SSE Social has been a thing), would there be much interest in a small midweek gathering from time to time? I work weekends so that's why I'm suggesting midweek. Probably not ideal for most.

Nothing hectic, just a few going for coffee or whatever, or maybe a pint or two down the line if people get on well.

I've been thinking about it for a while now and as the old saying goes, if you want something done you have to do it yourself

Best of luck with it

I've organised a few socials coffee's and drinks in kildare

Pick a venue and date and post it here without naming the venue so people have more of an idea and might let you know if they are available or not

Thanks for the advice.

For now I'm just trying to gauge if there's any potential interest. Even a get together with locals who don't get many opportunities to get to socials around the country.

Sure we'll see.

I get the want to gauge interest but you’ll never get there unless you decide on a date.

Might be loads of interest theoretically and then none of them available.

Choose a date that suits you about 3-4 weeks away, advertise it and start your list.
