I have my age filter set but still getting mails from people outside what I’ve set . How come ? 🧐

Maybe ye messaged before you set the filter. Or if it's a couple one is within your age range.

(Mrs here) My understanding was that it only gives them a warning that they don’t fall in your wanted age range but the can still proceed with messaging you

I think sometimes it works and sometimes they get a warning. I think the site has a lot of glitches. We noticed site didnt always work the same for us after returning from a deleted profile during a break

Actually when you go into block list icon and click message filters

You will see two options

“You're looking for 24-40 but you're not blocking other ages.

You can block anyone who isn't 24-40”

So if you click the second one you can block the messages out of your preferences

If your message filters are set properly, it’s likely because you had some interaction with them prior to them ageing out of your filters. A wink or a message at any stage will allow them to keep messaging you

When you join the site and pick your preferences. These are not filters.

You can filter who can mail you in message filters as I outlined in this post

I don’t see any previous interactions with the profiles messaging me though . Maybe it was a long time ago ? Very annoying 😵‍💫😵‍💫😅🤣

If you don't have the word "only" after the age limit - people can still message you.
