Maybe naivety on our part to not see that someone might have nothing better to be doing with their time.
We were unverified ourselves once upon a time, so initially gave benefit of the doubt that not all genuine profiles will always have a lot of verifications.
We only had a single verification ourselves from someone not well verified until we started going to a few parties.
It's the wasting of their own time that baffles us slightly | |||

"Just wondering why men (or women) do this, what's to gain?🤔 Had a guy contact us through a fake profile recently, exchanged msgs back and forth for a few days before realising it was fake, but he achieved nothing but a waste of his own time (and ours). Unfortunately it takes all types in this world. We have become good at spotting them. We didn't send any pics, gave no information not already on our profile, sent no pics though he did send some, pics probably downloaded from a male pornstar or stripper's page somewhere. A waste of his time as much of ours, but bit baffled as to why someone would even bother in the first place
