OP if you are in a rural area go to the social dancing and jiveing lessons, these events are all over the country and you don't have to be a good dancer to be accepted into the scene, I know a few lads who have found gf's this way and they couldn't dance and still can't

Depends on what kind of woman you want to meet and what you want to meet them for. They're kind of everywhere.

Just do things you're interested in, then maybe you meet someone that has the same interests, then it's easier.

There's so much stuff going on around the country every day and night, just go to the things you enjoy ,and unless you go into the extremes the country isn't that big. If you find someone that's right for you Malin to mizen ain't that far.

"What's a good place to meet women that's not a pub!"

Too tired to read the entire thread but did anyone suggest sea swimming?

I'm not suggesting that you hop into the sea searching for women like some demented sailor seeking mermaids. Maybe join a local swim group if that's an option.

Somewhere out there

If you have a cute dog, find a good park to walk it!! If you don't have a dog yourself, walk a neighbours dog!!

We find that a coffee shop is best for a social date as it puts everyone at ease and them you just have to use your conversation skills and charm to keep someone interested

I actually chuckled aloud at that analogy

I did a jive/social dancing class last autumn and if you ignore the lyrics you'll be grand 😋

Seriously tho, for me it got me out of a Wednesday, I learnt a handy skill and (not that I did it for that reason) but chances are you'll meet someone there than on your phone whilst overly mollycoddled gobshites kick a ball around on the telly in the background 🤷‍♂️

No need to go that far, ear plugs and a few meditation lessons should be enough survive
