I was honest in our sibling group chat.

We generally don't do honesty in our family 😬

I told my 2 older brother's they were utterly crap at checking in with me.

My twin sis checks in daily.

See how the chips fall with my honesty. I wasnt brutal or anything. I'm not going into the details of why they should check in more often (one brother might check in with me a handful of times a year) but they should check in with me more.

We all get on & everything. Life is busy for everyone etc. But still.....😏

Great topic. It's amazing how people who came from the same body can be so different. I cannot understand how son's and daughters of ageing parents cannot bother themselves to visit those parents regularly.

The same with your situation op. I know people lead busy lives but it's so cold to not check in with siblings who are going through tough times.

Everyone has their individual personality. Siblings are as likely, or perhaps more likely to fall out as are partners, parents, children, friends, neighbours or work colleagues. The naturally close bond between siblings, if it is broken, can be the most difficult to re-establish.

People become wrapped up in their own lives and just may not have the time to be heavily involved with other family members.

Families are much the same as Fab, some people get along with each other and some don't.

In all human relationships it's a case of either click, clash or indifference.
