So im new here, was chatting to someone who I think would be well knows on here. Planned to do a video call for verification after chatting for a bit. I got sent a payment link sent to me first and now they won't do the call without payment. I assume this is not normal?

"Well known on here wonder who else has been paying for verifications"

If I wanted to dig a little I could tell you, verifications often leave a trail.

Its just my opinion, but the ladies of this site appear to be particularly guilty of this practice.

Numerous times I've came across fake profiles, and if they didn't have their verifications off you could find the culprit easily enough.

it's not about hit and miss it's about a genuine meet. It's dangerous for other fabbers to verify someone you've never met, fuck knows who they are and what they're capable of

So as I said nobody should be relying on veris alone even genuine ones

Tbh I've suspected this for a long time and have commented as much on similar threads. I've noticed a large number of guys who all have the these same couples as their only verifications and all in common with each other.

Now maybe there genuine but just seems a bit suss to me

I over think things perhaps but for me social meet verifications only show that a person was cordial and friendly in a public setting often at a group/mass verification event.

The only thing a Veri should guarantee is that they exist. But when you have people giving them out for favour/payment then that goes out the window.

Many fake accounts have verifications from other fakes that eventually lead back to the originator. They're Veris will tell who sold out.

The verifications are usually turned off but I have seen many cases where this has happened on here.

I haven't come across this but I've always said that the only thing that surprised me when joining fab was the effort some people put into being relevant on here and their need for validation.

This thread doesn't suprise me and I could easily believe that there are some very real and well thought of profiles behind scams such as this and not all fake profiles.

That's just based on conversations over the years with well verified and popular forum users and how they talked about playing the game.

Haven’t heard of this before but not surprised it’s going on. I saw a status last night of a lady saying she was too lazy to bother going to the hassle of getting site supporter and would someone do

It for her. Half an hour later, she was a silver member. The person who bought it for her definitely got something in return. The same with giving your number or messenger handle and all of a sudden, it’s constant scam messages. I also think new members should not be allowed to send or reply to any messages for at least 72 hours until they get a grip of the site to see if they want to stay and if you’ve not got yourself verified as a male, female or couples profile within seven days, your profile should be automatically removed from the site. It would tighten things up a bit for everyone.

Yes a verification only means that the person you've been chatting to turned up and was who they said they were.

I disagree,

I've been here for years at a time with no verifications, I don't like the whole process.

But for those that can't get them your just going to encourage more and more people to go a shady route to get one or lose their profile.

Not sure that verifications are meaningless.

I struggled for a while after joing the site to get a meet. But a Fab angel took pity on me through a "help a fabber" thread and my Fab journey began in earnest. She insisted on paying for her own coffee so no form of payment was involved in getting the verification.....😇

I recently messaged a couple and they sent me back basically a price list for the things they offer as services

They were offering massages/ blowjobs with a condom on and a lot more for money!! It’s insane!!

I just never texted them back after I found out🤣🤣

Had the same thing happen, they seem to have disappeared off Fab since then, there must’ve been plenty taking them up on it though with all the verifications they had
