Hi All

I'm going to try this once again.

A couple of months ago I put on the forum for socials for this age group.

Before anyone starts replying that their are plenty of opportunities here I have tried the larger socials with crowds of people and this is not for me.

I'm in an open relationship with my hubby who's is on Fab to plus I have a FWB.

Hubby and I are not on as a couple we do our own thing.

What we would like is a small group of genuine people meeting socially for a cuppa, drink, meal who are like minded.

NO SEX involved just a bit of craic, friendship and conversation.

If people are attracted to one another then they can arrange meets etc in their own time.

I had interest before but no one wanted to meet to chat about it or help set it up.

This is for genuine people. No time wasters just good old fashioned communication and fun and see where it goes.

I.must admit larger socials don't appeal to me. Mainly because they are so noisy you can't hear what people are saying (yes i am at that age where the music is too loud

).And I'm quite introverted so find it very hard to approach a table full of people to start conversations. I've never had a host introduce me to anyone at those large events either so I prefer small ones where it's easier to chat to people.

Thanks to everyone for their interest and replies.

I will leave if for another while to see if any more interest.

I see a lot from the South of Ireland but hopefully we can organize something half way sometimes.

I would be delighted if some single woman would be interested too.

I know this is very short notice and I apologize for that but I want to try and start something or at least get a few ideas and thoughts from other folks.

So I was wondering if Sat 6th Aug would suit for anyone.

We live near Dungiven so we would try to meet half way for those further away within reason.

Even if a few people could make it that would be great to start off .

Not sure where yet depending on who can make it and that will be just between ourselves it will not be made public on here.

I think the idea of a group or socials for those 50+ is a great idea... the Irish scene is very much an under 50s, so at socials I can feel abit "aged" as the youngsters would at a +50 meet...my meet preferences is ppl5 yrs either side of my age

Just a quick update.

I'm going to leave a date for a social for a while as.

1. There are a lot of people from the South interested which is great and need to coordinate something to try to suit some people.

2. There are no females except me at the minute lol so we need to get some on board.

3. It's a bit short notice I know.

I am going to try and sort something cause I genuinely think there is an interest and need for it.
