My cousin got into board games and found a club where people meet up and play every Saturday. Ended up he travels with them to play people in different regions at the games. Gets to meet a lot of new people

Beekeeping! It's great for the head,just being around the hives is really calming. It's great for the environment obviously and best of all theres lots of really gorgeous,natural honey! What's not to like? Google your local beekeeping association...they welcome new members and the courses are really good value.

I simply love whittling or wood carving. Doesn't need to be a big project just something small. Takes time and patience but at the end you might have something to be proud of.

Once you get the detail work down you will find yourself moving on to bigger more intricate works.

I've a bees nest that l need to remove.. I'm not a fan atm, so bee keepers please find me...

Soft or hardwood? Soft is far easier for detail work but hard is good for stuff that will get a lot of wear and tear
