"Apparently Amazon want to cast someone in his 20s. I can see why they are thinking longevity but that’s probably a bit young for someone who’s meant to have been a submarine commander before joining the secret service. I hope they don’t do another origin story, as Casino Royale did that very well (albeit almost 20 years ago). As that movie was influenced by Batman Begins, this time should probably imitate The Batman and have a young Bond, a year or two into his service, but just work on the basis that nobody heeds to see his origin story. In terms of actor, I don’t know, I was sceptical about both Brosnan and Craig, but ended up loving both. There are plenty of young, handsome British or Irish (or Aussie) actors in my there who fit the bill - I’m happy to trust the casting directors to cast someone with a bit of edge.
