Why did we start removing that little bit of extra toilet paper on the fresh roll allowing you to easily see where to start unravelling it was? Now you have to tear off a random few sheets below one can start unrolling it adding to wastage and inconveniencing my morning.

Do better cushelle and all other toilet roll manufacturers.

PS the only correct way to pull off the roll is over the top and not from underneath like some animals do

"over the top/underneath" makes absolutely no difference in terms of the operation of the toilet roll holder. Both situations require the same effort to remove the required amount of toilet tissue as the coefficient of friction between the roll insert and the holder and the influence of gravity are equal in both cases.

Of far more importance is whether you wipe front to back or back to front......and always remembering to "flush & brush"

Either way it's a bummer if the roll runs out before you have completed the jobbie in hand

The position of the roll is vitally important, over the top all the way. I've found wrong positioning a lot in homes in the north, not sure what that's about, we can draw our own conclusions.

Have to correct it every time I find it. C

I'd hold the jobbie in and pull my pants back up and head home no matter how far away I may be if I discovered the toilet paper was not over the top to the front of the roll.

I've not noticed the lack of a starter tab myself yet but I will be paying serious attention to this from now on.
