I don't really get the point in social verifications. Withnso many fake profiles, catfishing and timewasters I find social meet verifications just muddy the water on who is genuinely wanting to meet. But that's just been my experience so far, and I don't profess to be an expert!

It's generally in a person's profile why they are on the site. So if people aren't meeting to play it usually says there. Verifications aren't going to help you determine that. Some people meet all the time but have never verified each other.

Exactly. I think the verifications is a good idea but its just very murky and actually don't tell you a huge amount. But then most online things are like that I would imagine. Think nothing beats taking a bit of time to chat and you start to get a feel for whether someone is legitimate.

But again I am still figuring it all out so I may be totally wrong...

I think when people are new they maybe look to other verifications to get an idea of what sort of thing to write, so it kinda snowballs from that. Add in the fact that there's only so many ways you can say similar things and you end up with cookie cutter verifications

If you read between the lines, they didn't really make much of an impression or I wouldn't touch them with someone's elses but I need to say something nice so that they will verify me in return.

I don't display mine for privacy reasons.

I also don't ask for them either.

Some will write a proper ine other just do the basic usual.

She better looking than pics etc.

Don't read to much into them same as cam or social ones.

Everyone can put on a pretence.

Veris say more about the author than they do about the recipient. A well thought-out veri is rare but lovely to read

So you meet someone, get on well and they give you a glowing verification which you publish with pride. They subsequently block you, (yes I know people do it for their own reasons and I fully support that), and the veri is automatically taken down. Does that mean it was ever a genuine verification or was the verifier being disingenuous from the beginning, are they just a poor judge of character based on initial meets, or are they verification vandals who go around giving veris and then obliterating them by blocking those they happily verified earlier.

Oh the fickle finger of Fab.....

(And no, it hasn't happened to me very often and when it did I believe I may well have dodged a bullet, but it does bring into question the veracity of many verificatios which people may take as sincere and use them to evaluate the suitability of fabbers for meets when those giving the veri may withdraw it at any stage on a whim).

I think they're more just to show the person is genuine.

Though I've been stood uo by well verified accounts before so its like everything on here.

Just take it with a pinch if salt.

I think you can tell and gauge what a person's like from chatting to them and just go with your gut.

All it means was that a person was there in that moment in that place. It's not a character reference.

It is helpful if you've been around a while and can read the tea leaves though.

I would say that if a person has consistently been given generic veri's then perhaps the people are being polite and that is a clue.

Similarly if a person's veri's are all from social events it might indicate that there is something lacking in the follow up.

Repeated references to someone's personality and the total absence of a comment on looks is also notable.

Verifications offer green flags and red flags in abundance imho . Here's just a few :

Green Flags:

*Recent positive veris

*Pretty regularly timewise spaced roughly the period they are on the site

*A mix of social and play veris

*An indication in content that their dynamic suits yours

*Positive veris listed from similar age/gender/dynamic to you

*Reoccurring attributes that appeal to you

Red flags are basically the direct opposite to above. In our experience though people we arranged to meet through the site were much less likely to veri than people we met or played with at events.
