"Hi all I’m just wondering what’s better for getting fit and building stamina, spin bike or exercise bike?" Ask the trainer for a personalised recommendation. But I can tell you that just one type of exercise is not enough.

"Stamina comes from the posterior chain, glutes hamstrings and calves, in addition to cardio vascular fitness, so exercises that target these muscle groups will build stamina. Quads etc are for explosive power such as sprint speed, lots of info on line just wade through the nonsense first. " couldn't agree more spot on,focus on strength training

"Is it actually for use in the gym, or to get for home use? If it's the latter, I'd recommend an indoor bike trainer & link it with a cycling app. There are loads, take a look at Rouvy, Trainer Road, Wahoo, Zwift. YouTube will give you good idea of how they work, which interface & features you like etc. Always have a towel close by whatever you choose! C. " It’s for home use

"Hi all I’m just wondering what’s better for getting fit and building stamina, spin bike or exercise bike?" , unless your out on the road, or a competitive cyclist, steer clear of the bike, tread mill use the different program's on it and throw in light weight set on various machines. A whole body workout and within a few weeks aslong as diet is healthy yiu wil see improvements

"I'm totally biased but I'd go with bike trainer in that case. You can go workout specific, targeting v02 max, endurance etc, with many of the apps. If you work on vo2 sessions, you'll build stamina and greater capacity for speed. Reps may look like 4mins on (hard pace), short recovery, repeat X times. A road bike outdoors is fantastic as others mentioned. Add in some weight sessions. 3-5 sets of 5 reps at heavy weight. Try do compound lifts, so you're working a number of muscle groups at same time. I'd suggest you balance it with some myofascia release / yoga also, 20mins x3 weekly, will help a lot. Your body needs balance! Loads of handy classes on YouTube C. " So you reckon a spin bike is the way to go? How many times a week or for how long should I do a session for?

"Hi all I’m just wondering what’s better for getting fit and building stamina, spin bike or exercise bike?" ------ Morning Op, exercise bike as in one you use at home or an assault bike/watt bike? For building endurance you're better going out on a real bike if possible and tackling some hills but sometimes with work, family commitments, etc all you might have is 30 minutes a day for exercise Spinning (cycle class) itself is a great workout but all depends on how long you're training at, intensity, your rpms, optimal heart rate or are you just looking to get a little fitter and up your endurance for your next Fab meet

And the exercise bike is a good sweat out too, best of luck and the main thing is to enjoy it..

"Running will improve your stamina, biking is an inferior version of that, it will slim you down but keep in mind your shape will not be good, which is why ultimately you want to do a mix" When you mean shape do you mean my fitness levels or body shape?
