Unfortunately not the ultimate winner, I did however win €3.

So let's say you won the €250 million

What would be the first 3 things you'd spend the money on or give away.

Buy house's for the family

Hire a plane to go on a holiday

I'd buy a chain of small islands in the carribean. It would be the greatest swingers haven the world has ever seen. As my gift to all you guys 😁

I think I'd call them Inis swing, Inis kink and Inis can't get a meet. 😁

Not Belfast but NI

Give money to close family and friends.

Buy a wee place in Italy and live between here and there.

Put money in trusts for grandkids

Find a way to help charities without the big bosses taking their cut.

Id buy a small holding, preferably with one or two out buildings, sort the family, put a million into the local credit union for them to hand out scholarships to a few people each year. Donate x amout to the local sports clubs with the provison they push girls teams. Several million to cancer support charities, same for animals charities. Trip to vegas for the sole purpose of puttinb a million dollor bet on red or black, juat for the thrill of that few seconds until the ball stops.

250 Mill. That's a lot of coin. Hard to say what is do with it but I'd def look after all family and friends first. Invest in a shed load of property so once I've spent it all I'll still have income and just go off and have a good time for myself I suppose.

It all sounds great an all but I'm not so sure that having endless amounts of cash is a good thing. Will it really fulfill you will you be happy? Nothing really has value anymore because you can have everything and anything( more or less). It's a tricky one, but one thing is for certain, I wouldn't say no to it.

Castlebar

New cars

Maybe a new house

Help family

Help out some local charities I'm fond of..

All the usual stuff.

As much as I'd like to give up work maybe I'd do volunteer work. I don't think it would be good for us to be idle too much.

And I'd hate for my kids to grow up not having to work for anything. I'd rather they didn't know we'd won it.

Somewhere out there

I would divide it up evenly amongst by brothers and sister!! I would still have 35 million!! I would then clear any debts I have, then get rid of all my furniture in my house, I would pay somebody to get rid of everything, they can keep what they want and sell it if they wish!!

I would get new floorboards and get new carpets for the bedrooms and brand new furniture!! Then, when all that is done, I would plan where I want to go on hols!! For years I've wanted to do the Orient express around Europe!!

Ah your not even thinking through this

Penthouse in NY , apartment in London, hotel suite in Paris (view of eifel tower required) and wherever your having in Far east. 10 million each.

Country pile somewhere 30 million.

Holiday islands in Caribbean 20 million.

Jet to get you there (second hand cos your frugal) 20 million.

Decent yacht 10 million

5 million a year to staff and maintain the above would need 100 million investment to generate enough income.

I've just spent 230 million, and I haven't even bought myself a Ferrari (or five) yet.

Was just saying im not sure I'd like to win that big. It's a looot of money and im sure would come with it's difficulties. I would def like to win a couple of million dont get me wrong but 250 million you'd def become a target I dunno how you'd keep that anonymous.

Should make 5 million in interest a year just leaving it in the bank but you pay tax on that so 2.5 million a year or just under 50 grand a week

At least you could pay your electricity bill

Feed and cloth them .

As a wise man once said to me, you never spend your pot.

The interest on 250m will easily get you 12.5m a year which is more than enough to buy houses and cars and fund you and your extended families lifestyle in year 1. After that then maybe a charitable Trust based on retaining the Principle sum for perpetuity and utilizing the interest and returns on investment for a cause you want to support. Adult literacy, Emergency housing, drug treatment.
