I'm sure it's not very often that a piece of government legislation can change lives for the better as much as the above act which becomes law today

Basically organ donation for some organs is standard when you die unless you opt out

Not a very sexy subject ....but have you made a will .....do your family know how you want to be looked after when you die

Take whatever is needed out of me when I pass away. Children have been told not to have a priest near me and not to bury me in the local grave yard.

It's great news. I've had an organ donor card for a long time and everyone knows my wishes. We are also on the stem cell transplant list.

I can't give blood anymore but also something people should consider if they are eligible.

I'm happy about it. Means a lot of people will get a second chance at life where they may not have before. As for after I go take what ye can from me. Not going to make a difference when I get put in the furnace for the cremation

What was the urge to say that?

Unfortunately due to medical issues for both of us we couldn't donate even if we wanted to infact beard was a registered donor and was informed that he had been removed from the register because of some meds he has to take daily. And I had looked into it but with having ms I was told no your organs wouldn't be suitable. But we applaud everyone who is able to and do donate even their blood

My mum has known from I was a old enough to understand that I want to donate whatever can be used, and my children have known the same from they were old enough to understand. I've no need for any of it.

They can have whatever parts of me they think are useful. The rest can be cremated and used as fertiliser in a forest

I think it's when you bring the ashes on a plane and flush them down the jacks, no? 🤔

Anyone leaving a big Dick ?

I could get a taxidermist to stuff it - And then I could stuff it where it would give me the greatest of pleasure 🥒

Nobody will want anything that came from my body before I get water cremated. I'm contaminated 😅

I could see this new law getting complicated however. You have to opt out, bit like Ryanair's list of things they opt you in for.

Really hope it all works out for the greater good ❤️

So the urn is extra

To actually turn on the gas to get cremated is extra

You pay for the gas...read the meter before and after

I'm hoping to put up a lot of mileage on my bits and pieces before I go but by all means take what is left.

They may need a service and possibly a quick spit and polish but yeah fire away.

Good news for people that have a second chance at life. For me take whatever you want and cremate the rest send me up in smoke after all in less than 5 billion years the planet will be gone too up in smoke back into the cosmos

Oh all my family know to donate everything! Already knew years and years ago! After my sister died my parents donated what they could and she saved a few lives so I’d love to do the same!
