"I can only speak for myself, but I don't need Fab to do more. On the exceptionally rare occasion I receive an abusive message I report, block and get on with my day. It's just words on a screen from an anonymous person who craves attention and will use any method to get it. " Yep this is my view as well. The first time I got abuse I was a bit shocked .Then I realised why would I give a rats ass about someone I don't know,and never will,and a tantrum they are throwing. I very very rarely get abuse now in fact I cannot remember the last time I did. I do the same. Ignore block and report. Then forget about them. I don't really know what more the site can do bar what they do already. | |||

That's insane. Hope you're ok and it didn't rattle you too much. This person showed her true colours as transdisgusted which is also abuse of women, trans women. No justification for death threats though. This woman simply found it amusing that a woman can have a penis and that men who have sex with those women with penis,s call themselves straight. It now appears that unless you buy into other people's issues and delusions your transdisgusted/phobic and if you don't think the way they do you should be threatened. Tolerant people in that community. "Find it amusing" "Issues" "Delusions" Threatening someone is wrong, plain and simple. However if you want an insight into why you might be branded transphobic, it may be useful to look at the language you use. Have your opinion by all means. That's your right. But when you're low-key insulting people it's more than having a different view. It's not any type of insult to a guy who has sex with other men to suggest he isn't straight, I don't judge any for who they have sex with I just won't share their delusion that they are straight. Or you could say "I don't share his opinion/belief that he's straight". You choose to use delusion. And that speaks volumes Ok, I apologise. I don't share the opinion or believe that straight men who have sex with other men are straight! They are straight men when they have sex with a woman. You are denying that trans women are women. That's transphobic and erasing the identity of a whole bunch of my personal friends and all trans people, who are already seeing an increase in discrimination and abuse since the awful ruling funded by terfs and the biggest terf of them all, Rowling. " Yes straight men have sex with women. Regarding transwomen being women you have your opinion and beliefs which you cant force onto other people. Similarly if someone posted on here that the Earth was flat I would stick to what I know, the Earth being a globe. | |||

From an early age we feel different because our fathers are more protective of us, our brothers are told they are sissy's if they hit us, we go through rights of passage which we share with our female friends and family such as our bodies developing, our monthlys and we experience the change in men's attitudes to us as we get older and become women, we learn that flirting can affect a man's attitude towards us, weve experienced sexism ranging from subtle to condescending. Their are multitudes of things that embody womanhood. And another phase awaits me, the menopause. And now someone is dismissing that as just circumstance as I'm simply a woman because I choose to be a woman and anyone can do that at any time and I should just accept that. I've never been a man and if I woke up tomorrow feeling I was in the wrong body how would I know what body I should be in if I've never been a man and don't know what being a man is other than how he looks and behaves towards me. I've huge respect for those who have to be brave every day. 💪🏻🙏🏻" I know three trans women and one trans man personally and their existence doesn't diminish my masculinity or the femininity of the female members of my family in any way. They are among the strongest and finest people I know. I can never fully grasp what they went through as kids knowing that they just didn't fit in their bodies but even if I don't fully understand their journey, I don't need to hate them and I just don't understand the fear and hate that people feel about them. Love and let live. There was a boy in school with me in the seventies and early eighties who "didn't fit". This was a small farming community in the northwest and he was bullied for being a sissy, not playing football, not being "manly" enough. He drowned himself at the age of 15 having been outed by some friends who spotted him wearing a dress at his house when he thought there was nobody around. Bad and all as today's world is, he/she might well have survived in the modern era but he was viewed as worse than the devil in that society. We've come a long way in terms of tolerance but we have a journey to go yet. | |||
