Ignoring messages not working

We have a few couples who keep messaging . They are not really what we are looking for. I don't like blocking people unless they are rude to us. But ignoring them doesn't seem to be working . Short of telling them straight out is there any other way of letting them know discreetly.

Why not just tell them politely that they're not for you?

What's wrong with blocking someone?

Nothing happens

They don't die a horrible death.

They don't spontaneously combust.

They just can't contact you

I just say No Thanks

If I get more messages I delete them and if that doesn't stop I block.

I don't like to block either unless people are rude but if they ignore a reply then I'm not replying again

….

Hate to block too unless someone sends a terrible message.

Don’t answer or open the message and hopefully they will get the hint. If not go with the block maybe ….x

do you know this for sure though? I wouldn't like to take the risk of someone combusting because of something I did

People move on afterwards

Something being blocked will invariably lead to a resulting build up of pressure which will somehow have to be released.

In the case of cock-blocking it could lead to spontaneous cumbustion.....

Well firstly, you can't blame them for wanting to make contact with you Op!! Wow☺️

But, just tell them!!

If I send a message, I'd prefer to be told that they are not interested in me.

This unwritten rule that no reply is a reply is bullshit!!

Fabulous pictures by the way!!

It's a difficult one. We dont tend to block people unless they've been rude or ignorant.

They might be nice people, but not what you're looking for.

Just ignore and delete messages.

If messages aren't read, for whatever reason and none have to be given, but more are sent, I will eventually block.

My perogative.

I normal say 'we don't feel it would be a good fit' normally that works bit there are always a few that will keep pushing. Then I just block. If they haven't the manners to respect what you say, they most certainly won't have either manners or respect if you were to meet them. Half of them are time wasters anyway.

If they read the forums, they may know now that your not interested.

I don't get why it's a problem ignoring or blocking if you haven't met them. Even replying politely saying your not interested isn't that bad. Most adults would rather have the honesty than nothing at all.

"Why not just tell them politely that they're not for you?"

I mean... To be fair they have.

The 'no response is a response'.

If they can't take the hint or no for an answer, blocking is well justified.

If it was single guys, I doubt we would be having this conversation.

To clarify, this isn't me having a pop, merely calling it how I see it. 🙂

Some people just don't get it. They keep banging messages over. Even I find if your polite with them and say whatever your idea of a polite 'no' is, they either turn nasty or keep harping on. There has to be a level of attraction. And to get that to work between all four people is not that easy. We all have our hangups and things about our bodies we're not happy about. I'm not shy with the block button. It's the only way.

You just block them, it's really that simple

If they're not for you, block them and don't lose sleep over it

Block, it’s my rude. I sometimes block if they say no to save me messaging again. There are a few who I love perving on and while I wasn’t what they are looking for they haven’t been blocked

They won't be long getting 'tired' if you stop replying completely, there's no easy way really to say "you're not for me" lots don't take rejection well......

I don't like to block either, only if very crude & rude or the creepy freaky types.
