How does one hold someone’s attention here after getting it, the conversation starts then evaporates like a fart😅

What are the trade secrets?🤣

I don't think there is a trade secret.

Usually I find if you're both into each other then it just happens with ease.

If you're having to chase it or force it then it's not there in the first place

Most conversations I have here or on apps don't lead to meeting and usually fizzle out or go into hibernation until schedules and locations coincide.

I'm much happier meeting the people where the conversation blossoms by itself. It's just so much more likely to be a good connection in person.

Most don't get past first message unless they have decent open line and conversation. Needs to not be forced or hounding, people have lives behind the scenes

I suppose you need to master the årt of conversation. Be inquisitive but not pushy; be reciprocal to keep the momentum of the conversation flowing, don't ask closed questions, be cheeky but not impertinent...

... don't hesitate to give up if the other person is giving you perfunctory responses or is simply not interested. It has to be a two-way street.

No trade secrets.

If you're both into each other the conversation will flow.

If the conversation feels like it has to be dragged, then it just ain't happening.

You also have to consider that when sending messages behind an online profile, it's much more difficult to make a connection than if you were to meet in person.

This is very true in our case, both on Fab and anywhere online really.

The quickest way to fizzletown for us is to talk incessantly about sex and nothing else. Gets tedious. Be a person 😅

Honestly, if a convo evaporates like a fart, maybe it just wasn't worth holding onto. I’m all for connections that flow naturally, the kind that keep you coming back for more without even trying

Also when chatting leave a bit of bait something that’s easy to shoot a reply to so your message doesn’t feel like the end of a discussion

I usually have that issue

Definitely this...if its fun and relaxed and isn't hard work. Once you have to force it then it's probably done

Not Belfast but NI

As others have said, if the conversation is boring and/or hard work it ends.

Although, it is not always fair jumping to conclusions about a person from their first few message. They could be shy or not had a lot of experience yet turn out to be the needle in the Fab haystack! It has happened for me once or twice and so glad I didn't bin them based on their first message
