Hi. We’re in Dublin this Saturday for the day and never been. Are there any must do bars or pubs and any definitely to avoid.

Depends what youre looking for here but few nice bars below

O Donoghues (Baggot St) - likely trad music

The Old Stand - Michael Collins old meeting room

McDaids

Keoghs

The Confession Box

The Gravediggers - a bit out but worth it

The Palace Bar - huge whiskey selection

Bowes

Minutes from Somewhere Else

* Get a toastie with your pint in Grogan's

* The Long Hall

* The Old Stand if you're into rugby (The Swan for similar reasons)

* The Temple Bar but only for one single stupidly overpriced pint.

* The Cobblestone should you find yourself at a loose end in Smithfield.

The best part of Dublin is her people. Be open to conversation & a bit of fun and you'll have a great time no matter where you land.

Goatstown

If it's a pleasant evening then The Barge is also a good option and The Dropping well.

All of the above! It’s the best way to spend a day in Dublin!

Seriously these are visitors to to our city. What an absolutely cretinous thing to post. Absolutely cringe worthy.

Hard to argue with this. The tour of the Guinness brewery is also worth a go and history buffs may enjoy the likes of Kilmainham Jail.
