But of an oxymoron but how much do you pay for a free walking tour?

Galway

The suggested amount is usually around €20 depending on the duration of the tour and how good the guide is.

Thats fair, I checked online and comments ranged from €5-€30 with a fair few outliers. There is a lot of variables too. Someone said the price of a lunch in the local currency.

If your organising it yourself then it should be free as long as you already have the appropriate footwear etc lol sorry should free not mean free

The spiel is, “while this is a free walking tour, feel free to donate at the end. You donations are the only way we make money”

I’ve no problem giving some dineros for someone showing me around their town/city for a couple of hours. But I always find myself looking at other people trying to see what they are giving because I definitely don’t want to underpay and I don’t want to over pay either.

Have I told you I overthink things sometimes?

In that case personally I'd throw a tenner in be suitable price per person in my view but it depends on how much value you put in other people's time or your own time for that matter too but a tenner seems reasonable
