Have you actually paid for someone's drinks on a night out using a table number? Do you think it's weird? Do you think it's normal?

Minutes from Somewhere Else

Using a table number? Like, saying to the staff that you'd like to pick up the drinks tab for table 14, etc.?

Why would you want to? Would this be for people you know? If so, probably not too weird and likely to be seen as generous. If not, I'd find that weird.

Wetherspoons has a QR code that you can scan to order for people. Some people put it up on their snap etc when looking for a drink

I probably wouldn't unless I knew them or was getting to know them. And even then it'd be situation dependant.

I've been in the company of people who have talked about this , it's kinda "a pay it foward" kinda thing , and i taught it was only wetherspoons , but never considered it , my luck the table I pick is after doing 20 heager bombs , and 30 steak dinners
