We are both down in Dublin next Thursday and Friday night. Looking for recommendations on pubs to go too with the possibility of meeting like minded ****couples****.

Live music can be found in pubs in Templebar but be prepared to pay a lot for a drink. Murrays/Fibbers on O'Connell Street is a great spot

Don't know much about pubs but NoLIta or River Bar is nice if you want to dance.

Like someone said keep away from Temple bar street as the pubs there are overcrowded and you will overpaid for drinks.

Everything depends what you like..

On a previous thread 37 Dawson Street came up quite a bit.

I couldn’t tell where is cheap for a drink in town these days. A pub in the burbs was charging €7.50 for a pint last weekend

Not mad keen on live music. Nice atmosphere and somewhere you can talk without loosing your voice would be ace.

I love the Dawson Lounge. Dublins smallest pub. Others of note are Kehoes and Mulligans. Stay away from Temple Bar unless you won't the Lotto.

And Hacienda, opens at 8 and you have to ring a bell to get on. Very funky, you also have a big chance of meeting celebrities.
