I've sent my CV off to United and I reckon I'm a shoe-in.

Think moyes fits the bill...

He's done very well on a low budget for 10 years at Everton. Perhaps the appointment of an ex player as a number two is also a good shout, nevertheless Fergie done well his record speaks volumes plus he's got a stand names after him! Leaving with a bang think he will still be connected to the club.
