I wonder is there a app that can create the perfect message to send on FAB when saying hello to someone or would AI fail too

Minutes from Somewhere Else

To what end, though? You'd still have to talk to your chosen person eventually, without the app.

Moreover, what's currently being called "AI" is actually better termed an LLM (Large Language Model) which is more like a branch of AI.

What LLMs are really good at it is taking huge amounts of text and condensing it down. They're not so good at going in the other direction, i.e. give it a prompt and it'll write you a novel in one go.

Ergo, such an app were it to be built on an LLM would be doomed from the start.

There definitely is.

Some of the higher end frontier models are really powerful now and incredibly useful tools.

Look up dead internet theory. That's the point where the Internet is just a bunch of ai's all talking to each other and pretending to be human.

AI models can only learn from what they're fed. A model trained on Fab would probably just say "Hi" and attach a dick pic.

Not so much AI but I have almost everything in the house on Alexa. It's very handy.

I’ve seen a couple of posts in the lounge where the “OP” would write a personalized poem of a profile on request.

I can't say for certain but in my opinion, it doesn't matter how smart or flowery your first message is, if it's coming from a blank profile or someone they consider unattractive. It's not going to work. Training an LLM would only work if you give it ALL of the variables. If you know all of the variables already, how difficult is it to actually write a message?
