Mate of mine had them done over a 3 month period. Turned out amazing for a fraction of the cost of what it would be here. He's really happy with the end result and has really improved his confidence.

I've heard a lot of horror stories, and that the after care is non existent. But I think that's bollix to scare people into staying at home to get it done. As far as I know the most reputable companies have clinics in Dublin for aftercare.

I think if you need to get them done, do plenty of research before you decide. Maybe look into composite bonding here instead.

I have a friend that had veneers done in Turkey and they're so natural looking you'd never guess, but some of the ones I've seen lately are horrendous! Way way too big looking and way too white.

I think the issue is people going for the cheapest possible option when seeking dental treatment and surgery abroad.

Usually a reason why the cheapest places are the cheapest.

Even the most expensive dental practice in Turkey is prob still cheaper than the average Irish place.

It's important to remember that there are both good and bad dentists everywhere, including in Turkey. Some dentists genuinely seek foreign clients and offer great services, while others might not be as reliable. My advice is to do thorough research and avoid cheap, independent clinics. I personally had my treatment at a well-established, professional dental chain in Istanbul, and now I’m a regular patient there. I’m very happy with the results!

Dentistry in Turkey is often much more affordable than in the UK, even when factoring in travel expenses like flights and hotels. Just be sure to book your flight during off-peak times to get the best deals!

Just remember that Turkey isn't in the EU so products they use that are implanted into your gums/teeth/body will not have the same accreditation/standards as products used within EU countries or England (British standard)

It's possible some may use EN or BS certified products but many will use cheap inferior products that would not meet the same standards required within the EU or UK

Excellently put, people don't realise this about medical standards.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to go there or not but I can sure as hell tell you that some of those dentists have access to the remains of Shergar going by the size of the tombstones I’ve seen in people’s mouths…
