"So i own and entertainment agency and pretty much everyone works for me on the weekends on various shows etc throughout the country I have this one who has been with me since the start for the last year has cause nothing but problems! They have more bad reviews in then everyone else combined! The only one with refunds to give back We are only how many weeks into this year and they are now on their 3rd bad review and 2nd refund! NOBODY else has anything in against them! They are showing up late and just been extremely unprofessional in everything They started dating this waste of space the start of last year and pretty much since then all this has kicked in! Also they are the main earner for their family I have been so lenient with everything as they been with so long and i know they need the work but its at a stage now where i dont trust them and if im honest i dont want them working for me! I have given chance after chance, nothing is changing! I think i need to bite the bullet and just let them go but im not sure how! Ive never done it before! Any advice!" Do you have a contract with them or do you just book them when you need them? | |||

If they're independent contractors surely you can just cut ties with them no?" " Yep but if that's the case there should be a huge difference here - If you were employing them as PAYE earners I'd be advising to tread carefully and contact an outsourced HR company so the proper steps are taken and you don't find yourself a target or legal action and paying through the nose. But in this case you say they are not honouring contracts and damaging your business in the process. That can't continue, I'd be saying thanks for everything but I'm needing to look elsewhere. | |||

"I booked loads of acts over the years for clubs and pubs. If one act was repeatedly getting bad reviews, they weren't given any bookings and eventually left. As this person is self employed, you can use them as how you see fit. Build up a list of places that won't have them back to cover yourself. Otherwise it's you sho end up with the bad name." I actually have an agency who won’t allow them on any of their bookings and anyone who’s sketchy! Makes bookings a tad trickier | |||
