How do people manage sharing face pics?

A couple reached out to us, after a couple of messages asked to swap face pictures, we sent first, but they never did, they did follow up complementing us and asking more questions, which they never responded to.

Is it just me who finds this kind of behaviour very rude?

I guess we'll take an approach of you show us yours then we'll show you ours, particularly when it's the other couple asking first.

So, how do you all manage this?

I personally manage it by wearing other people's faces.

We don't send face pics as they tell so little about attraction. Attraction is more about confidence, personality and how they carry themselves for us. We prefer to meet for coffee instead of making the wrong decision on a face pic.

Agreed. We are the same to be honest.

I send if asked . Attraction can be skin deep for some and deeper for others so hard to know . Best not to take it serious and just let it go if someone isn’t into a face . Can always wear a bag over me head

As a man I’ve tried this approach when asked for one, or else insist they send one first since they asked, but usually thats the end of chat. I’m absolutely stunning, so I see it as their loss!

Same here

Convos have ended abruptly because we won't send a face pic! I reckon we'd probably be incompatible anyway.

Yeah I'm not giving anyone the right of first refusal. If someone asks and hasn't sent one then it's not going to work out for them.

Besides that, facepics can be surprisingly misleading. I've met women who look much nicer in person simply because they don't have great photos.

I've also met women who look quite different because of excessive filtering or old photos.

Besides all that. I actually enjoy the excitement of a blind date.

We don't do private conversations on fab, waste of our time! We meet at socials now, then use telegram. So already know what they/he/she looks like..

I manage it by never sharing facepics. If anyone has an issue with that then we weren't compatible in the first place so it's no big loss.

The general rule of thumb is that whoever asks must send first but there is no obligation to return the favour.

And you're perfectly entitled to do that. Nobody should ever feel pressurised into sending a face pic.

Most people will have a social meet first anyway, so all can be revealed there. It's also why many just meet through the organised socials.

Totally agree, I think that while a pic can give you an initial impression of whether you're attracted to the profile or not, it tells you nothing about their personality(ies) or how well you'll get along. Always helps when you can have a laugh and enjoy company along the way 😈

We just don't and say so on the profile. We'd rather meet over coffee for everyone to get a chance to see and get a feel for each other. If it doesn't click that's fine, we still enjoy chatting with the various people on the lifestyle. We love discovering the diversity of backgrounds and life turns which eventually brought us all to this same place. We grew to love that social side...

Face pics not only feel like they're a step too far in terms of online personal details, but they could also preemptively kill the chance for a good chat with interesting people, irrelevant of eventual attraction.

Not ever. Happy to meet in person and be rejected rather than have some dodgy possibly fake profile have our pictures.

And nor would we ask for or expect face pics.

But we're not yet/necessarily interested in swapping or sharing, so what someone's face looks like is perhaps irrelevant to us.

We may happily expose our bits or play in front of or beside others at a party or event, but at least then everyone's personality and authenticity and intellect and humour and sex-appeal can be joined with how their faces look...

I share a face pic after a few lines, I don't don't care if I don't get back. I don't expect to be everyone's cup of tea and I think we are mature enough to take a "No"

Very rude indeed OP, but maybe they know you? If somebody asks us for a face pic, we normally wait for them, since it was their idea, and follow suit, even if it is a spinning buddy.

I take a poker approach to this scenario, you have to pay to see my hand by showing yours, if someone asks to see my face they have to send theirs first, gets rid of a lot of time wasters!

We would point blank refuse, we attend socials, interact in telegram chat groups and that's it. You learn way more about people, singles or couples from interactions in telegram groups. We pretty much don't engage in meet requests through fab or chats now.

I’m here for sex. I’ll ask for a face pic only a few sentences in and if no attraction I end it.

If you don’t send it then we’re not compatible and not on the same wave length. I won’t apologise for it, and I expect the same in return. Many men don’t like big women or women who Look like me- I’m good with that. I don’t need a deep connection just for a few hours company. I’m not looking to marry again either. It sounds shallow because it is. But if I want a relationship I use a different site.

This is the way. Face is the most expressive part of our bodies, might as well not hide it. Sure, some people can be rude about it, but better to discover that quickly.

We don’t share our faces unless a meet has been organised and is imminent

We’ve been sent face pics at the start of a conversation but we won’t reciprocate.

If asked, I’ll send pics that we have on open display lol.

Connection, chat, banter and rapport between us all goes a lot further than seeing someones face

I'll usually have a few in my friends gallery. I don't at the moment because I need a haircut and am a bit of a scruff right now

That's usually how I let others see my face. If we've been chatting for a bit and it's going well, I'll add them as a friend and they can see.

I'll never send one in an opening message, and I certainly won't be sending one on request.

The profiles that state that a face pic is a must in an opening message just get discarded immediately.

I never share face pics and I never ask for any either. If they share then all well and good for them. I prefer to meet in person after chatting here for a bit. Besides the amount of pic hunters here gets boring.

I know I'm not ugly and I have a good personality to get along with most sane people and that works better for me. The ones who give grief because I won't share facepics never stood a chance anyway. Everyone I have met in person so far have been delightful and fun.

Maybe on seeing a face pic, the other party recognises you from your estate / job / gym / supermarket? And they launch into a panicked BLOCK!-BLOCK!-BLOCK! state?

We’ve been asked to swap face pics by various people after chatting for a time, but the way we look at it, if you’re asking then you send first, we will always return.

If someone sends face pics in their first message to us we ignore it, seems like an expectance that we’ll reciprocate, not so.
