So I’m booked im for a vasectomy tomorrow in Dublin , just looking for some small advice off you kind gents here , I’ve had my consultation and all went well the doctor is very reassuring that I won’t be in to much discomfort

Just looking for some advice on aftercare the DO’s and DONT’s and all that jazz and how did you find it

The thought is worse than the reality. It's over in no time. Thankfully in my experience there was no pain after. Just a little strange sensation, similar to pinching.(which could last on and off for a few days/weeks)

Bag of frozen peas and feet up for the evening. You'll be back to right in the morning 😁

Maybe no heavy lifting for a few days 😉

You'll be in and out in 30 minutes. Nothing to it. Wear tight underwear on the day. Pop a painkiller when you get home and you'll be grand. You'll have literal blue balls with bruising for a couple of days but just don't do any heavy lifting and you'll be OK.

I wish they had told me about the blood in the sperm after the first ejaculate. That freaked me out a bit at the time🤣

You'll be surprised how easy it all is.

Honestly the weirdest bit for me was jerking off into a cup and dropping it into the hospital. Mercifully they had an unattended drop box so I didn't have to look anyone in the eye while handing over a little cup I just came in.

And when alls said and done there's absolutely nothing better than cumming without having to worry about contraception failing.

This. Keep everything nice and packed and tight for a day or two. No major discomfort but an odd sensation for a few days. I was back at work a few days after

Keep your ball bag clean. Wash a few times a day. Don’t wank off for a week or more. But more importantly. Remember the next 20-30 shots are still live shots so if you’re done having kids keep it covered up. You will get jars to jerk off into to get tested in 3,6,9 months. I drove home after it and was back driving lorry’s a few days later. Just keep it clean.

All vasectomies are surgical.

And the hot knife used in place of a scalpel does exactly the same job

My guy told me the whole history of vasectomies in Ireland while he worked.

My suggestion wear comfy underwear. No heavy lifting. Practice safe sex. No sex for 2-3 weeks.

And make sure you shaved before.

Just a for a little while, but you'll be mad to knock one out fairly quick, just to make sure all is in working order 😂😂

You have to remove all the live ones for about 10 weeks after, before you get tested for the all clear!

So got it done yesterday I booked it privately 3 weeks ago for €480 in the moorehamptom clinic in Donnybrook , the dr and the nurse were very reassuring to be honest and put me at ease straight away because I was very nervous , they are really nice people , one thing I will say make sure someone drives you home , it was very uncomfortable driving back home afterwards , had a little discomfort last night but today is all good just a little sensitive but plenty of painkillers I would recommend doing it on a weekend as it gives you time to recover

I have to send a sample back after 12 weeks

I had mine done in a Dublin clinic. I delayed responding to your post, OP, until you had it done. Mine didn't go according to plan, as the anaesthetic wore off as they were cutting, snipping and cauterizing.

All forgotten now, and very happy to be firing blanks, with a certificate to prove it.
