All the hotels I've been to recently in Dublin need key cards to use the lift or stairs to the room. Anyone know a spot that doesn't?

"Why is this an issue? "

Because he can't tell someone to call up to room 324, because they will need a card to use the lift or get to the stairs.

But as hallows said, meet them in the lobby

Away with work a lot, they all use them. Can ruin a certain blindfold fantasy we used to do (blindfold left on doorknob, sense deprivation etc).

Now the solution was to get 2 key cards and leave one in envelope with reception for the 2nd person, but yeah, does mean a certain knowing look fronlm hotel staff...

What about those Hotels that request people's personal info (ID's) from everyone?

When you're the only one who booked the room...

Tricky if you have tied yourself to the bedpost though 🤔

If you can tie yourself to the bedpost the rest is easy

Lifts are always busy, so just wait for someone to get into one and then tailgate?

Or alternatively meet them in lobby!

Dundrum

Just pop 2nd card in an envelope, leave envelope with name at reception for collection. Tell your partner this info and what floor / room you’re in…

Am I missing something?

There are plenty of hotels in Dublin that don't need key card for the lift in fact there is one where you can go straight from the carpark to the rooms

Say the other person is your husband or wife and they are usually quite accommodating.

Im thinking for safety reasons, the emergency exits, in this case the stairs would be an option, no key card required. And get a warm up b4 play ! Or as others suggest meet in lobby or leave a spare key behind the reception desk.
