When initially talking to someone for the first time on here, how soon would you feel is appropriate to share a face pic?

I'm looking for both the male and female perspectives.

I'm conscious as a male profile, sometimes even getting engagement with a female profile can be a challenge in itself but I personally like to make sure that I'm not related to someone, not living next door to someone, not working with someone first before sharing my photo and that can take a little back and forth to establish.

I also try to ensure there is some basic connection conversation wise. I won't compromise on this which can, and has led to conversations stopping abruptly within a few exchanges.

So is there a general rule of time how soon a pic should be shared, considering sometimes it can end up being a 1 way sharing process 🤔

It's not a question of time. We only really do facepics if we are interested in meeting and are talking about arranging something.

Yes for us it depends on where the conversations going. If we plan to meet them we will share a pic. But have spoken weeks to people before without ever sharing one

I don't share face pics with anyone I'm not meeting and even then I've met lots of people without sharing a pic at all.

We feel that that there's no real time for it as if conversations are flowing it happens naturally and if it doesn't happen naturally then we simply don't follow up

I can go weeks or a month, and beyond, before I exchange photos, if at all. Sometimes it happens as a matter of 'convenient consequence' because we've moved over to Telegram or WhatsApp where her face photo is on display.

I never ask for a photo and I never instigate it. It's always been the woman setting the impetus, when she's ready to do so, and I don't necessarily reciprocate straightaway.
