We regularly get guys that message and say they are "in the lifestyle " or "swinging" for your years yet their profile will say they are only looking for females and if they have any verifications they will only be from females.

So it got me wondering is a person who is basically looking for uncomplicated sex part of any lifestyle outside of the hook up life? I'm obviously not including guys who want to meet couples obviously. Lots of these guys also message as if they are talking directly to the female so it's normally a straight forward block but lover to hear other people's opinions.

Very few people understand the swing scene, but when they do there's nothing better

Almost everyone will have a different opinion on what swinging is about and what they hope to attain out of it. Its up to you as a person/ couple what you want out of it.

I've always considered swinging a couples activity so wouldn't describe myself as one despite spending a decent amount of time in the scene at events and meeting with folks who are very much into 'the lifestyle'.

At the same time I'm careful to point out to the people I meet that I'm not into a hook up lifestyle either and explain to new connections that I'm ENM/Poly and seek out casual long term partners.

More clarity and better communication increases my chances to making the connections I'm looking for.

I do think a lot of people on fab will repeat any buzz word that might get them laid though.

And others that might consider themselves a part of the lifestyle because they are meeting the people they want to meet through fab and the infrastructure it offers.

I always find "lifestyle' a funny word to describe been a swinger, as i don't think most swingers are living the swinging life every day 24/7 ( now maybe some are )

Ive been on off this site 7 years and don't consider myself a swimger , I've attended loads of socials and a few parties, but I'm not actively meeting, never have in all honesty, it's nearly a year since I was intimate with a guy.

What would be considered in this " lifesstyle" ?

I've always said this isn't a lifestyle choice for me and has always been just a hobby.

I don't class myself as a swinger and I've never been "in the scene".

At the same time I've never been here just for hook-ups and I haven't met anyone new since 2020 so I'm somewhere in the middle.
