Hi everyone

Just wondering what ye think when you provide a face picture to someone on here and they don’t send you one back. Personally I think it’s very unfair and it makes me think that this site is not so safe to use. I’m a single man before ye ask but where is the decency these days.

How would someone providing a face pic that you can't verify is actually them make the site safer?

This site comes with all the inherit risks of the online world coupled with us having our tits out also.

I don't think it's a saftey issue.

As for decency well nobody is entitled to a face pic and you certainly don't have to send one first if you are not comfortable

If I'm asked for a face pic i expect the guy to share theirs first.

I always send mine in return..

But I'm also careful about sending a face pic. Would definitely be chatting a while before I send pic.

Not being funny my friend, however, on your profile you say privacy is very important to you. The person you are sending your face pic to may also value their privacy and doesn’t want to have their face pic shared. Also, if they don’t like the look of you, for whatever reason, why would they send one in return to you and say thanks but I’m not interested but hey, here’s a face pic of me.

No-one forces you to send a face photo. If you're not comfortable doing it then don't. Do Fab your own way.

If I request one, I'll send mine first.

If they ask for one or send an unsolicited one, I won't send mine if I'm not interested.

If I am interested, I'll send it when I'm ready but that will be fairly early on as there's no point in either party wasting time if there's no attraction.

Your profile says you're only in here 4 weeks so you've probably got a lot of learning to do.

No one can tell you west to do it how you run your profile so it's all entirely up to you and I'm sure you'll figure out what works for you with a little or a lot of advise from others. It's not a perfect world on fab and its certainly not fair but I'm sure you'll figure it out and I wish you all the best in your quest.

I posted something along the same lines on the forums that l thought that a profile pic should be complusary to join & some gave their opinion but what really gets on my goat is people demanding a face pic with the 1st message & they don't have ANY photo of ANY description on ANY of their options, such hypocrisy, demanding a face pic in the 1st message & absolutely nothing of any sort on their profile but it's Fab , all kinds in this Jungle & l know it's an individual choice but hey who's to say the one that's demanding a face pic is someone that you'd look twice at in the shopping mall ? You have NO IDEA who you're sending a face pic to if you choose to do so , none , my tuppence worth is ignore that profile that demand's a face pic in the 1st message.

We often get sent random face pics and videos from people almost demanding that we reciprocate. And then they get thick when we don't.

Hi all and thank you all so much for taking the time to read and reply to my add.

Delighted with the advice too.

Yes my profile is a new one. I was here before and i had pics up. Body pics without the face etc etc. but after texting others for a period of time and when asked for a picture i taught it was nice to give one like a step closer to maybe meeting someone but this isn’t the first time it’s happened to me and i just wanted to hear what other people thought.

Ok maybe they didn’t find me attractive but I’m not the worst out there either. Yes i understand there’s people i also don’t find attractive but come on if asked they should return.

And yes maybe i could put up someone else’s picture but why have to hold up a picture saying fabswingers and hold it with one hand and take a picture of yourself to register here if they can’t control people putting up pics of someone else pretending it’s them.

Again thanks to you all you are all so good

Hypocrisy & self entitlement are things that some people have & are not one bit concerned or worried that they have them, but to have little or no contact with them is a person's choice,as regards a face pic etc , often l've sent one when asked & never received one back , obviously l wasn't their type but nothing to say they weren't mine either as when none returned, so how would would a guy know ??? ...a lot easier when phone number or emails are exchanged iF things get to that stage & anyhow l think if there's not a mental connection in chatting no photos will be exchanged anyway.

If after chatting someone wants a face pic, we are happy to send one if we feel a connection. But whoever is requesting a pic should ask if the other person/couple wants to swap face pics, and if the answer is yes, the person who asked to swap face pics should send first.

We rarely send 1st messages anymore. I think thats just down to the fatigue around having the same conversations over time.

The face pic in the 1st few messages annoys me too! We clearly state our position regarding face pics in our bio, but I find it very awkward then when we get an un solicited face pic within the 1st couple of messages. And they expect one back in return 😬

And yes, I always read the bio, saves alot of time for everyone!
