Just curious, I was at a social a few weeks back and someone said to me "you're over 50 so not a hope as a single guy in the lifestyle!"

Whats everyone's thoughts?

Is it true?

Whats your thoughts?

somewhere

Only joined when I was 54 and I've never felt like that

The site will work for some people and never work for others and that has nothing to do with their age usually

Op to be honest you get out of the site the same kind of effort you put in age may be an extra challenge for you as some are very strict on there age ranges but be engaging and open on the forums and your profile and you will probably be OK. But if you don't put any effort in you will get nothing in return

I'm assuming it was another man who said it to you?

I was 52 when I joined and have never met anyone who wasn't interested in over 50s.

Totally depends tbh , in life , here & real life ,you can meet people that are so negative, oxygen leeches, people that want to put you down & keep you there the MOST IMPORTANT thing is NOT to pay a bit of notice to what they say , YOU DO WHATEVER YOU LOVE TO DO . whatever it is , you say you're over 50 ? So am l & l personally don't give a F**K what others think, here & in the real World ( except for tighter than tight close friends) why should you pay any attention to a stranger that by them saying something could seriously affect your thinking or well being ? ..live your life the way you want to & always remember , whatever age you are ...YOU ROCK !! 👊

You're definitely not redundant over 50. There are plenty in and around that age who are actively doing well here

I'm over 50 and I don't feel surplus to requirements. Yes Fab is no easy but you have to put a lot of time into it.

Respect and good manners will take you a long way. I've met lovely ladies on here and most of them I have met with on more than once. Not everyone will give you a verification because some people like to keep it private. The coffee socials are a great way to get to meet people also

Wish you all the best O.P.

Any winks we've gotten lately are from couples with 45 or 50yo as their upper limit.

We generally don't respond

Yes, absolutely at 50+ you may be surplus to some people's requirements. But you may also fit much better into other fabbers preferences rather than the poor unfortunate under 30's who are filtered out because they are a similar age to someone's kids.

Age is just another filter, like geography, relationship status, being bi or straight or any of the various other criteria people use in deciding who they want to engage with.

Even when searching on the site using the age range you think will be interested in meeting you things like location and relationship status will equally restrict who you could possibly meet.

Having narrowed your search down you will still find lots of interesting profiles and if you present yourself well you will find lots of people interested in joining you on your fab journey.

Speaking from my very limited experience fab isn't a magic kingdom where women's knickers instantly drop at a moments notice ( unfortunately 🫣). If you think it's any easier here than the real world you will be disappointed. What appears to be on offer on Fab if your lucky enough to find it is a opportunity to meet someone who shares your interest in no strings attached play and also some interests that may not be mainstream. This does not in any way help with bypassing all the usual laws of attraction. If you're a minger in the real world you're still a minger here (no mingers were harmed in making this post) and will probably struggle to get what you want. If you're a stunner you probably will get what you're looking for but then you are probably coming from reasonable success anyway.

Of course personality counts but not half as much as it should.

Never ever thought that way about fab and anyone that does is delusional. I'm just hoping to make friends and anything after that is a bonus

Yep and that is annoying when you are a party organiser over 45/50 because you can’t send them invites cos you’re too old… ah well! Tough luck for them

Plenty here who appreciate people irrespective of age. So OP chin up and get out there xx

Age is just a number. I have a good friend who is 50, and she’s one of the sexiest, most irresistibly voluptuous women I know.

I'm genuinely curious was it a male or female who said it to you abd what was their age???

Obviously given my advancing years I completely disagree 😉

Yes you definitely come across all sorts here. The higher up the 50s you are the greater the challenge becomes but you get out of it what you put into it. Also, its easy to understand what older means to younger. Remember when you were 20……..and you thought a 25 year old was a dinosaur
