The theory is everyone has an attachment style, one is viewed as a healthy style and the other three are not. The only suggestion I can give you is that counselling is the only solution, to identify the childhoods trauma, discuss it and hopefully heal. Some therapies can provide coping mechanisms to help with particular behaviours which result from the childhood experiences. Good luck, I hope this is of some help

I think that you will get the best help from a specialist psychologist who will help you professionally determine your attachment style and help you choose the right, the best therapy for you.

Yeah I found it very useful info. 😳

It's all about self learning and self care. The more you know the more you can be kinder to yourself. I wish I'd made more effort to learn about me before now 🤣

Obviously a professional can give you the most help...

I'm not saying Dr Google is the best Dr..but getting professional help is pretty difficult 😡

I took the test.

My attachment style is 'Secure'

This is great news apparently and I am very well adjusted despite all the usual trauma.

Apparently I’m secure. However OP, make an appointment with your GP, discuss it with them and see what they suggest.

Also appear to be secure, but I agree with advice given above. Chat to someone and give yourself a chance to understand and recover if needed.

The book Polysecure has a lot of info about attachment styles and non monogamy. Swingers could find it useful as there's not many books that deal with non mono in particular.

Thanks for the information everyone. Very interesting to know and to self assess. Like others say,if it's negativity impacting your life seek professional help.
